Comments and Ratings for Google Calendar: make the most of every day

App icon date (1.6.7)
1/21/2017 9:19:00 PM 4/5 By Juhrig
I truly would switch to this calendar app from the iCal app, but it bothers me too much that "31" is the perpetual date on the app icon. I need it to reflect the actual date. When this is changed i will redownload it and switch from the iCal app.

Please bring back minute increments! (1.6.7)
1/21/2017 11:34:00 AM 1/5 By jfgarnant
Guys, please bring back minute increments to events! We use iOS's stock calendar to do it after the recent update and it is a pain. Please please bring them back, we use it for tracking purposes for clients. Oh, and as everyone else has asked, a notification widget PLEASE!

Needs a widget (1.6.7)
1/21/2017 7:40:00 AM 3/5 By Whodatwhodatdatsmedtsme
I would give 5 stars as soon as there is a widget for the search screen. And Have the actual date be on the app icon

needs widget! (1.6.7)

come on! that's gotta be so obvious. please!

No iPad version. You have to (1.6.7)
1/21/2017 6:36:00 AM 2/5 By I Don't Want To Have A Nickname
use the iPhone version and double the screen size. Google should build a universal app; its 2017!

Where is the app for the iPad? (1.6.7)
1/20/2017 9:53:00 PM 4/5 By BMarchy
I love this app. I think is it a great tool and I have all three of my calendars on there. It syncs seamlessly with the other google apps (Mail and maps) and makes my life easier. The only 2 things I wish Google would do is: 1) make the app compatible with the iPad. I use my iPad for so much but I have to use this app in compatibility mode. Not cool 2) Add a widget. That would be amazing! It did get a little more confusing to add new appointments, but far from impossible.

Useless (1.6.7)
1/20/2017 9:05:00 PM 1/5 By Nick-The-Mongoose
Takes so long to set up and you have to set up each reminder manually because the app doesn't let you set for specific future dates automatically.

Great App (1.6.7)
1/20/2017 1:55:00 PM 5/5 By San Angeles User
Easy to read, use.

Decent (1.6.7)
1/20/2017 1:12:00 PM 3/5 By Michael Farr
It's a decent addition to your computer calendar but it's a bit clunky and confusing on mobile.

Since update, won't load!! (1.6.7)
1/20/2017 8:35:00 AM 1/5 By Alec sottosanti
It won't load my google calendar and just loads until it shuts down. Had to get a new calendar app. Meaning I open the app and then it just has the loading circle and won't fetch my calendar data and then just shuts down.

Saves my life (1.6.7)
1/19/2017 4:20:00 PM 5/5 By 2bw/ou
Tbh this is the best thing to have happened to me. I've never been so organized and it helps loads with my studying and letting me know when certain assignments are due and color coding by class

Background refresh doesn't work... (1.6.7)
1/19/2017 2:24:00 PM 2/5 By niketdesai
The calendar data doesn't update in the background. It's the most critical feature that needs to work for a scheduling system. I get a lot of bad notifs now. The UI is okay, and I appreciate some of the email smarts the app has. It's no Sunrise - Google missed big not acquiring them unfortunately.

Wrong times showing (1.6.7)
1/19/2017 12:26:00 PM 2/5 By tinarae95
Mapped out my class schedule using the online google calendar on my laptop. Downloaded this app so I could have easy access on my phone. All my classes ended up being displayed an hour early on my phone compared to what I had put in. For example a class I put in as 8am-8:50am showed up as 7am-7:50am. Even within editing the details the information would be correct but as soon as I saved it and went back to the main screen the app would display the data incorrectly.

Pretty on the eyes, but not very smart (1.6.7)
1/19/2017 9:41:00 AM 5/5 By My Dog Clyde
It's easy to use if you are not required by your organization to use it daily. I prefer to use my computer browser to schedule meetings/appointments and inform others of my availability. When I need to check where I am going next, it is a nice looking and easy tool for an on the go planner - especially since it syncs with the schedule that I input online. Unfortunately, it is a pain to use the app to input the schedule. The options available on a browse afford you much more options for creating events. The app does attempt to be smart -- It allows you to just type in the information on a single line and then will organize the information in to the correct categories, but it doesn't always work correctly. I love this app despite all of that. The way Google has woven this beautiful quilt of applications, services, and utilities together is beautiful and sometimes I wonder how we ever got along with other their platform. For the individual, or for an organization of thousands, the Google system is the only thing that I recommend if you want to use the internet with your computer/phone is 1. Chrome Browser 2. Gmail 3. Google Drive 4. Google Calendar 5. Google fpcs/slides/sheets /forms 6. Google play + the Google Apps that fit your needs for entertainment (music, books, games, TV, etc.). Google has it all. They're a great company that has made a free version of all our favorite products - that even work seamlessly with our favorite products. No longer can an underprivileged student suffer through high school because they can't afford $120+ for Microsoft Office at home! Just log onto your Google account and use docs. Or go to a WiFi hotshot to acquire the offline, desktop version of Google docs! It's brilliant and I love Google. Oh and did I mention that they have a computer that DREAMS? Another note: Google Drive has made my research collaborations easier than ever before and with my colleagues using Google Calendar, scheduling face to face meetings and video conferences is easier than breathing. Forget doctor appointments easily? Don't like to allow push notifications from apps? Never fear, Google Calendar us here. Just select your preferred notification type and how long before the appointment you need to be reminded. When I have an important appointment that I may forget, then I just have Google Calendar send me a text message. AMAZING! Use this app. Or use another one for a month so that when you finally get Google Calendar, you will be able to appreciate the world's best time management tool - for Free.

Google Calendar keeps crashing (1.6.7)
1/19/2017 7:53:00 AM 1/5 By SafCare
Folks for the past two months I have not been able to use the Google Calendar app on my iPhone 7+. Every time I click on the app it crashes after one minute. I have reloaded it several times but still no sustained life. Can you help?

Easy to use; does what you need it to! (1.6.7)
1/19/2017 5:27:00 AM 5/5 By TigerSara
Love google products. The calendar is easy to use. Love that you can get travel alerts so you can leave on time. Love the color options. Love how you can invite people to your events. Just does everything you need.

Crashes (1.6.7)

Latest version crashes a soon as I start scrolling through dates. Ugh!

Suggestions (1.6.7)
1/19/2017 12:57:00 AM 5/5 By avsdude13
I love this app but do have a few suggestions for features. 1. Like others have said sending push notifications would be very useful. 2. A widget for quick access showing the daily schedule similar to iOS. 3. Updating the icon for the current day. 4. Having the option for multiple calendars under the same account. Say one for work and one for school.

iPad (1.6.7)

Not optimized for iPad at all!!!

Can only search 2017 (1.6.7)

Won't scroll back to events before January.

Buildup and Disappointment (1.6.7)
1/18/2017 12:03:00 PM 2/5 By Ryn6264
I was so excited that Google finally had a decent calendar app for iPhones. Until I downloaded it I've been using Readdle's calendar app, which syncs with Google, because google calendar is actually great. Unfortunately the app is not. Type in Monday Jan 23 5-7pm, and it doesn't register the 5-7 but does get the 23rd part right. Click 'done' and the calendar has automatically set my event titled 'Meeting Monday January 23 5pm-7pm' on Saturday the 21st at 2pm. Very frustratedly I will return to my old app and hope that this gets figured out a little better.

Pleasee app for ipad and mac!! (1.6.7)
1/18/2017 10:23:00 AM 5/5 By figueroaamaya
If you take all the apps and put it in all apple devices you will destroy all competitors with all this google apps! Great job

Still a ways to go... (1.6.7)
1/18/2017 10:01:00 AM 3/5 By dwesty63
It boggles my mind that the app can't display the actual day of the month like the iCal does. It would also be nice to see the calendar zoomed out in a weekly basis to see what the entire week looks like for the ENTIRE days. You've got the $$$ to do these things so get to it!!!

Google needs to fix this ASAP! (1.6.7)
1/18/2017 8:44:00 AM 1/5 By Disappointed in WNYC
Ever since installing ios10. The app crashes 30 seconds after opening it. I've tried everything. Reinstalling iOS. Reinstalling the app. Nothing works. It is isn't usable and I've gone to a third party calendar now. So not happy. Google if you're listening (and you're always listening) please fix this.

Put real date on app home screen icon!! (1.6.7)
1/18/2017 6:04:00 AM 2/5 By LDB1324
Would like it better if today's date was automatically displayed on the app icon, so we don't have to open up the app just to view today's date. What kind of calendar doesn't automatically show today's date on the home screen icon? Also, allow users to move appointments via dragging, instead of having to manually edit each time a meeting time changes. Take some lessons from the Apple calendar you're trying to replace

A Simple Suggestion (1.6.7)
1/17/2017 6:45:00 PM 4/5 By Valdez Family
Good functionality. The suggestion is for app icon to show the actual date on it, instead of always having to show the number 31. The iOS Calendar has it. Surely if Apple can do it, Google can too. Thanks!

Great app (1.6.7)

Love it (1.6.7)

I am with a home health agency and love how I can schedule and reschedule on my phone, iPad or when I'm in the office. It's easy!

Crashing (1.6.7)
1/17/2017 12:48:00 PM 2/5 By Dionysia31
This app seems like it would be great, but it crashes every time I use it. I can't get "other" calendars to load onto the calendar on my iPhone, but got them to show up on this. I have an iPhone 7. Thanks

I calandra (1.6.7)
1/17/2017 4:06:00 AM 2/5 By straitcat
PLEASE!!!!! Add the Icalendar (ics) format again. Don't like sending my events via email when a person can't just click on it and have it added to the calendar.
