There a few things that needs to by updated. 1- Make an option for integrating map with address book. 2- Auto switch to night time. 3- Make an official application for IPad, since it does say in the compatibility line iPad is compatible. This map can be installed on iPad as iPhone application; however it does not look good. Personally I like the application for iPhone; however the main point of my review is that this application is not for IPad as they say in the compatibility line!!! This is the reason I give this application only 3 stars

NEVER BRINGS ME TO MY DESTINATION! I HAVE GOT LOST 4 TIMES NOW AND WAS LATE FOR THE 4 JOB INTERVIEWS I HAD SCHEDULED! NOT TO MENTION I WAS NOT HIRED DUE TO MY "LACK" OF PUNCTUALITY!! Thanks plenty Google. Download Scout for iPhone, worked wonderfully and have not had any issues so far. :)

You all wanted this because you think google is god, and what you got was the same lousy directions you get from google online. I've used google maps about 10 times in my life. More than half of those took me close to where I wanted to go, but just far away to get frustrated and angry. Usually it drops me off in the middle of a neighborhood by a golf course, instead of the clubhouse. Missed a wedding and a reunion because of it. Today i tried this app, and again, it sent me in the wrong direction on my final turn. done! Apple maps is way better. I don't care if the 3d feature doesn't work in Toronto or London. It gets me where I need to go in the u s and a, every time. So glad to finally stop hearing people talk up this horribly inaccurate app.

Mapping data is great, but doesn't mean much anymore as Apple has rapidly improved their data woes that plagued it initially. It's feature list and UI design are abysmal compared to Apple Maps. It feels noticeably buggy with connectivity issues, and zooming that isn't very smooth. If used for extended periods I've had the app crash. Another issue is the mispronunciation of words.

Lots of bugs... Is anyone going to fix it? The sound problem for example, cant listen to music and Use Google Maps at the same time... The volume keeps jumping up and down, and the music sets to pause... The last uodate got s new problem with screen illumination... It suddenly goes deem while driving... Even with external power on...

Apple's map has the 3D which is stunning. Also google really needs to add volume control for the navigation voice. It's not loud enough.

Great app! Currently needs topography, bicycle directions and a scale. Other than that its wonderful! Useful with only a slight learning curve.

Google maps used to be great. It does not sync with maps on computer. It also does not stay on when moving and plugged into power source like the old version.

After downloading and installing, the app still shows in my iTunes as a new update available. Seriously? Every time I update apps, I either have to manually not download it or wait for it to download again and again and again...

When Apple Maps came out, I was bummed that Google Maps went away. Was thrilled when Google Maps came back, but this is completely different! Interface isn't as good. Functionality isn't as intuitive. I'll just stick with Apple Maps now.

For the past two weeks this app has not been able to connect to the server. I've tried reloading the app, getting the update and playing around with other settings on my phone...none have worked. I would love to use it all the time, but not if it is going to have connectivity problems.

My google app & some other google related apps are no longer updating. I tried reloading them to no avail. And apparently there is no way to delete them off if my iPod. Please fix or at least give us a way to delete them!

Like the other person said earlier after the update the screen auto dims and doesn't return back to normal brightness even with a button press. Also it keeps Rerouting you and telling you to make a U-turn when you are clearly on the route it is telling you to follow...Please fix this
