Description

The fast, fun mobile inbox that puts email in its place.

Note: Currently for Gmail and iCloud accounts. Other email platforms are on the way!

Mailbox is a completely redesigned inbox that makes email light, fast, and mobile-friendly. Quickly swipe messages to your archive or trash. Scan an entire conversation at once with chat-like organization. Snooze emails until later with the tap of a button — they’ll return to your inbox automatically so you can focus on what's important now.

Mailbox checks your email from the cloud and delivers it to your phone securely. Now with Auto-swipe, Mailbox learns from your swipes and snoozes to automate common actions. Mute that conversation you don’t care about, snooze messages from your friend to this evening, or route all of your receipts to a list — automatically.

Mailbox’s delightful UI and smart features make getting to zero — and staying there — a breeze. After you experience a clean inbox, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.

“Already the app I use most often.”
—MG Siegler, parislemon.com

“The best email management app you'll ever use.”

So good Apple tried to steal many of its features.

Very clean looking, easy to use app. Mailbox makes it easy to manage an otherwise unruly inbox.

Incredibly useful and fun app (1.6.3)

Mailbox has really improved the way I utilize my inbox. It has helped me get rid of useless emails faster and prioritize emails better. Definitely worth downloading.

So waiting for Exchange mail support (1.6.3)

I'm absolutely buying it. Lot of good apps, but a habit-changing, making-life-easier app like this is hard to come by.

Changed the way I do email (1.6.3)
11/15/2013 11:56:00 AM 5/5 By Chrischad
I never thought inbox 0 could be a thing, now I'm a believer. In the last version it was a little buggy so I stopped using it, they had a fix in days and responded to me when I put in a ticket. Seriously, one of the few productivity type apps I'd pay for! Great job guys!

Phenomenal! (1.6.3)

Best mail app to date! (That I've used.)

Good interface and ease of use. Relatively busy boxes/folders are easy to see and manipulate when synced.

My favorite app. Saves me time and I love the "later" function. As a business owner, it's a must.

I wish there was a desktop client just like this, but I'm happy very happy with this app!

Ridiculously Helpful (1.6.3)
11/15/2013 3:04:00 AM 4/5 By Humorous2me
A few minutes with this app and my inbox is no longer scary. I see what I want when I want. If only it worked for more than Gmail.

All email should work like this. (1.6.3)
11/15/2013 2:53:00 AM 4/5 By Needs motivation
This thing has been a game changer for me. The ability to snooze emails has kept them on my radar and helped me stay on top of things. The only issues I have with mailbox at this point are: 1. Can't save draft emails - you can't save a draft which is frustrating. My workaround has been to save the email content on my notes and snooze the email for later. But there should be an option in the program. 2. Sometimes can't see some attachments but that's rare. Overall totally worth it.

swipe actions could be better (1.6.3)
11/14/2013 11:58:00 PM 3/5 By Dgiydcjihgdaegb
I’d like to be able to change the swipe actions—I always end up trashing messages instead of archiving. Otherwise, very good.

Great app. (1.6.3)

So awesome. I love it.

Better than Mail. (1.6.3)
11/14/2013 10:01:00 PM 5/5 By Jimothy Farnabus
I upgraded to iOS 7 and wasn't really thrilled with the changes they made to Mail. Then I remembered seeing this app a while ago and decided to give it a try. It's been awesome so far. Great UI, and the satisfaction of "being done" is a new experience for me. My mail matters more now.

Awesome (1.6.3)

Too bad it's only gmail

Pretty dang good. (1.6.3)

Nothing to freak out about. But this is waaaaay better than apple mail.

Great for quick organization (1.6.3)
11/14/2013 8:06:00 PM 5/5 By gokoudes
I love the simple, quick gestures to organize emails and effectively file emails that don't need to stay 'active' in my Inbox. The nice daily picture at zero inbox is also more motivating than I thought it would be. Great app.

One of the best mobile email clients (if you only use gmail) (1.6.3)
11/14/2013 7:19:00 PM 4/5 By David Negstad
Mailbox presents an excellent and tactile UI that takes advantage of the strengths of mobile devices. Obviously right now, the usefulness of the client directly corresponds to how important gmail (or Google Apps for Business) is to your email workflow. For me, both my home and work addresses are on gmail, making Mailbox just about perfect. That being said, there are some things I'd like to see improved in the base app. First, there are occasional stability issues that seem to crop up mainly when I haven't checked my email through Mailbox in a while and the app has to sync a large number of new messages. Nothing that closing and restarting the app doesn't fix, but still a little annoying. Second, I can't find a way to collapse an expanded gmail conversation panel. There are times where I have an email chain with way too many responses and I want to be able to focus on just a single response (without going to the detail view). It'd be nice to be able to tap on the title of a conversation panel and expand or collapse it. I'm picky. Overall, I just hope that the devs continue to make improvements to the application and don't just rely on the fact that they're the best option out there right now. At least we know it won't become another Sparrow.

Love it (1.6.3)

Professional Entertainer (1.6.3)
11/14/2013 5:49:00 PM 5/5 By Joshua Weidner
I love having a clean inbox and the features to swipe emails over to a list of defer them until later is perfect for when you are on the road traveling to a show or job but need to respond to someone's email later without forgetting it. Love this app

Awesome (1.6.3)

Love this app, it organizes all my emails on gmail in all places on the web and my Apple devices.

Best mail app for iPhone (so far) (1.6.3)
11/14/2013 5:41:00 PM 5/5 By j2yun
I miss the tag management from the gmail app, but for fast, easy processing of email on a phone, I think Mailbox wins hands down.

Good app (1.6.3)

Annoying pop-up keeps asking for a review after every auto-update, so here's a star.

Organized (1.6.3)

That's what it makes me

Update Nov 14 '13 (1.6.3)
11/14/2013 4:41:00 PM 2/5 By ZiggyTosh
Update 11/4/13 Dropping to 2 stars because there seems to be lack of big fixes. HTML rendering is abismally slow ie: Starbucks and Amex. Attachment subsystem still needs work. Desktop inconsistencies. Ie I move a message to this weekend and it still shows in my main mailbox folder on my desktop Mac Mail instead of in later folder Needs a way to mark message as spam so I don't have to goto gmail browsers and do that Still the best gmail client for iPhone Original But why only 3 stars? I love the app so far "Getting to Zero" is going to actually take some time. I have well over 10,000 emails in my gmail account, but I can see the potential I do keep a lot of useless mail like that e-receipt for that widget I bought in 2006 that I no longer have. I am sure we all have many of those They really need to work on the attachment subsystem. When a calendar invite comes in It should automatically populate the calendar and bring up an accept / decline window. I like it a lot , but it's got a long way to go. Another thing that it could use is bulk select and delete many mails at once. I don't want to individually swipe to delete 40 emails at a time. I would like check boxes to select many at once and then delete

Easy to Use (1.6.3)
11/14/2013 4:29:00 PM 5/5 By Ben Johnson
This app is great and easy to use. Helps me keep my inbox managed. Also it keeps the messages I need to see front and center without extra clutter.
