Description

The fast, fun mobile inbox that puts email in its place.

Note: Currently for Gmail and iCloud accounts. Other email platforms are on the way!

Mailbox is a completely redesigned inbox that makes email light, fast, and mobile-friendly. Quickly swipe messages to your archive or trash. Scan an entire conversation at once with chat-like organization. Snooze emails until later with the tap of a button — they’ll return to your inbox automatically so you can focus on what's important now.

Mailbox checks your email from the cloud and delivers it to your phone securely. Now with Auto-swipe, Mailbox learns from your swipes and snoozes to automate common actions. Mute that conversation you don’t care about, snooze messages from your friend to this evening, or route all of your receipts to a list — automatically.

Mailbox’s delightful UI and smart features make getting to zero — and staying there — a breeze. After you experience a clean inbox, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.

“Already the app I use most often.”
—MG Siegler, parislemon.com

“The best email management app you'll ever use.”
— Ryan Lawler, TechCrunch

Used to be an awesome app... Bugs in the current release are killing the vibe. Fix them maybe?

It's okay (2.4)

I really like this app but there's one problem. It freezes a lot. I have iPhone 5S and it works most of the time. But when it's trying to open up an email with a lot of recipients or pictures, it just freezes and stops working. Then I have to forcefully quit the app and open it again.

Evolving App Good Not Great (2.4)

Have used many mail handling apps over the years. All had their good points and not so good behaviors. Love the later feature not so much on the limited mail apps that can be used, hence the evolving comment.

I love being able to swipe my emails away that I need to pay attention to at a later time/day/week/etc. Great idea and excellent execution and interface.

Fantastic (2.4)

This App changed the way I look at email and allowed me to have less stress because my mind was less clouded by my full inbox. Anyone who has an email and an iPhone needs this app.

Email App Designed For Business (Specially Real Estate) (2.4)
2/16/2015 7:57:00 PM 5/5 By canonmn
I have used the Mailbox App on and off from the beginning and I have to say it is the best available. I stopped using it last year to test out the iOS Mail and they did make several improvements, but it is still not on par with Mailbox. I also did the beta testing for Google Inbox for several months last year and it is very impressive specially for beta, however Mailbox still has them beat by a mile when it comes to speed and functionality. There is no better app out there for using your email as a ToDo list. There are some items that I like better about the other email handlers like iOS automatically groups people that I usually email together and Inbox is has a very appealing design. For day to day use Mailbox blows away the competition and now that they have the app for Mac OS it is really the best around.

Nope - This is much worse (2.4)

Dropbox is losing it. Really! While every other storage provider is finding ways to offer better storage (box 5GB, Gdrive - 15 gb and iCloud 5gb compared to dropbox's pathetic 2 GB) , these guys are putting out USELESS and POINTLESS app. Beside adding clutter to your screen, the app offers nothing extraordinary. The only thing it could boast of is bulk action on unread messages. Thanks - i dont need another stupid email app.

Mailbox Rocks! (2.4)

I'm very happy with Mailbox - I love the swiping functionality. I've been using It practically from the beginning and I haven't looked back. My only gripe is that it crashes a little more often than I would like. But that's a minor complaint.

I like it for the unified inbox for my gmail which ios mail used to provide until exchange was dropped by google and gmail adapter being kind of junky. Gmail ios app would be perfect if it had a unified inbox. Happy to see customizable gestures and one for spam now too!

Way too limited (2.4)

If the only email you use is Gmail or iCloud and the only device you own has an Apple on it, then this app is probably pretty slick. However, if the own a PC and god forbid your work email is in Outlook then don't even bother downloading this app. And if anyone from Dropbox is reading this, shame on you! Dropbox made its name on cross platform functionality, I don't know what was going through your head when you signed on with Mailbox. Even Apple figured out that any mail app has to work with Outlook.

I absolutely love this app. But if they don't get more mailbox options to connect like; hotmail, yahoo, and other random work and school emails, I don't see myself using it for too long.

The app has a nice user interface, coupled with features designed to assist you to be productive. Two enhancements will allow me to use it to the full: 1) the capability to use it with my Yahoo email accounts, and 2) for it to recognize the specific email addresses of my alternate iCloud accounts. Presently, "MailBox" will receive mail from my alternate iCould accounts, however, when I create or reply to a message it will be sent from my original iCould account, which I prefer others not to see. The mail applications in iOS or my Apple desktop work this out fine, even allowing me to choose which account to send a message from. Thanks for the effort to create a most useful app.

A solid mail client (2.4)

Reliable and easy, I appreciate the way this app lets me manage my email. My inbox is part of my daily to-do list and Mailbox has greatly enhanced that practice.

Brain dead idiotic design (2.4)
2/16/2015 3:43:00 PM 1/5 By rfjason
This app as a concept is completely broken. The UI is a disaster. I don't recognize what any of the icons mean. I can't remember the difference between left and right and short and long swipes so I trash emails that should archive. Also, the entire point of Gmail is to archive instead of delete so WHY IS THERE A DELETE SWIPE???????? Also the UI uses dots to indicate unread/read, but it doesn't *bold* the unread emails. This makes me think the dots are flags, but I don't know what the flags are so I get confused. It's hard to reply to messages. It's hard to figure out "snooze". It's hard to figure out lists. The unread badge is totally backwards. Either it shows everything in my inbox, regardless of unread status, or it just shows a 1. Dumb! And it only handles Gmail and iCloud??? Hello, even the built in Mail app understands all my major accounts. What the heck is your problem? And where are my mail folder? People use folders, you dopes! Edit to add: YOU MADE YOUR OWN FOLDERS IN **MY** GMAIL???? No. No. NO. You don't get to do that. You DO NOT pollute my Gmail with YOUR mess. That is just plain stupid. I now actively hate this app and I'm glad I removed it. This app just isn't thought through. It's like a bunch of kids said, "let's make email as complicated as possible and screw everyone over 35!" Well congratulations, kids, you did it. Thanks, Dropbox, for the extra gig of free space and for wasting my time. Uninstall. You want to make a useful product? Figure out how to hook into my mail apps so that when I browse for an attachment I can browse my Dropbox folder and automatically get a link (instead of the dumb way of making my exit, open Dropbox, find, select, share, copy link, switch back to email, then paste -- see how cumbersome that is??)

3 Stars means you like it. (2.4)
2/16/2015 2:02:00 PM 3/5 By Kar-tekth
Perhaps after a longer exposure I will edit this rating to 4 or 5 stars. The app is functional, with some interesting features (more stylized manner of doing the same thing). I like that it keeps what you care about upfront, and can learn to auto sort (though I'm a bad example as I tend not to trust my spam filters). I have only been using it for a week, and I am using it (prefer it) over the base mail app (which I have used for years).

Essential tool (2.4)
2/16/2015 1:16:00 PM 5/5 By Acting IT
Mailbox helps keep me organized and sane. Before Mailbox I was overwhelmed daily by the amount of email. Now, with a few swipes I can get my mailbox down to 0 in no time. Thank you for Mailbox!

I can't believe how hyperbolically fantastic this app is. I have reclaimed my inbox, and had fun doing it. What an experience onto itself. Y'all haters just cuz you can't get inbox zero like me. Peace.
