Comments and Ratings for Snapseed
A big disappointment (1.6.3)
1/19/2015 2:33:00 AM

I used to like this app but something happened in one of the latest updates where some of the tool windows no longer size properly. Specifically the crop window displays vertically and not horizontally and will not let the user scroll through and select a preset. I used to use Snapseed as my go-to crop tool, but can no longer as a result. I've tried deleting and reinstalling but that has done nothing to help. This occurs with a couple of other tools I use less frequently, but it's a tremendous inconvenience in crop. UPDATE : I've now stopped using Snapseed completely and given up all hope of them ever fixing it.

Adding my complaint to many others. Please fix the multiple problems from the last update. This is simple stuff.

It seems like every other terrible photo editing app. I saw it was recommended on some site, but now I see why it isn't that great. The original owner left and now it has all gone downhill. I see that expressed in other reviews as well. Sad that an app that was well-loved had to be ruined like this.
Good but disappointing (1.6.3)

I still have problems as I navigate through photos with the "Use" and "cancel" become unusable.
Lots of bugs, many on iPad (1.6.3)

This used to be a great app, but has gotten rather buggy lately. Working on my iPad Air 2 has become difficult with various settings (the B&W color filter bug is the most annoying).

Deleting the App (1.6.3)

So disappointed! I once used this app almost daily. Google has known about the issues since the update in December, yet chooses to ignore any fix. Don't bother downloading.
completely messed up! (1.6.3)

I'd really like to know what happened to one of the best photo editing apps?!? This used to be my main go-to program but now I'm lucky if some of the various style options for Vintage, Drama, Retrolux, and Frames show-up on my screen. Given the number of complaints and lack of fixes makes me think the designers no longer care which leads me to consider deleting the app now.

Please fix iPad version of Snapseed. Tool options like crop, drama and HDR Scape no longer display all the preset options. Snapseed is basically unusable until there issues are resolved.
Please fix! (1.6.3)

The last update rendered this app practically useless on my iPad Air. I have never had any problems but now I can't access all the frames, retroluxe, drama, vintage filters etc. They used to be across the bottom under the photo, now a pop-up box appears and will not let you scroll through them. Really disappointed in this, please fix!
Five star app becomes one star garbage. (1.6.3)
1/10/2015 6:11:00 AM
1/5 By Moses Lightning
Just completely useless garbage since the most recent update. God, I wish I could downgrade.
Here's a specific example of your embarrassing failures:
Go to "Retrolux" on an iPad and choose between styles. See what I mean?
How on earth do you let something like that slip by? You should be ashamed of yourselves.
The minimum standard to which you should hold your app is basic usability. If you can't meet this standard, consider a career change.
Gutted the Black & White module!, (1.6.3)

2/5 By Pewo1
What happened? You removed all the B&W filters except for two, and most of the presets are gone, WHY? What is the point of destroying the program? I have used Snapseed for years on the iPad but this gutted version is garbage! I did not pay for this reduced version!!! If this is all there will be it is not what I paid for and I want my money back!

Snap seed is pretty gimmicky. There are very powerful tools such as the selectable layer masking feature but it is all useless because there is no histogram. How am I supposed to know if I am clipping the shadows or highlights? Also I have not had any problems with the app crashing on my iPad so that is good. I really think this app could do without the goofy filters, HDR is fine, but the others are pointless to me. Another needed feature is some sort of noise reduction like the define nik app. Come on Google get with the program here.
fix It! (1.6.3)

When are you going to get this latest upgrade problem fixed? Love this app but ready to dump it with many of the options now unavailable on iPad Air.
App is not working since last update. PLEASE FIX ASAP. (1.6.3)

Snapseed is my go-to editor. It has been for years. I have well over 100 photo editors between iPhone and iPad and Snapseed has withstood the test of time.
This is very frustrating that since the Dec2014 update, the app has been rendered practically useless. Snapseed is aware of the issue and they are supposedly working on a fix. Granted the holidays made everyone fall behind a bit, but I'd rather they issue an immediate rollback of the broken update than make me wait for another fix. I'm lost without this app!
Sadly it is now broken (1.6.3)

I had been anticipating a quick update, to repair the damage done in the last update, before leaving a review. In the past, I used Snapseed every day. I bought this app when it was a relatively costly paid app. It was well worth the price. Now it sits unused. I am surprised at how long it has been neglected. I wrote the company, weeks ago, an received a polite reply that they were aware of the problems, and working on them. The bug fix has yet to appear. I wish I had waited, instead of updating, to this version.
Pls fix the bug (1.6.3)

I used to love this app so much. One day I opened it and suddenly it kept on crashing after the last update.
Please, please fix the bug.
Not working properly after latest update (1.6.3)

Snapseed has been my favorite photo editing app to date. Although, with the most recent update, I can no longer access all the different style options for HDR Scape, Center Focus, and Drama - only the first three show up, and when ever I slide over to the rest, it always bounces back to only the first three. Another problem I've found since the latest update is if I try to straighten a photo beyond the tiniest little adjustment, half the photo goes black. No amount of further editing brings back the blacked out portion of the photo. I hope Snapseed will address these newest glitches soon. I have given a 5 star rating because I still do believe it is the best photo editing app out there.

Can somebody fix the cropping aspect ratios? The options does not display properly and you can't get to other options. Pop up displays vertically rather than horizontally as it should be. Thanks!
Meh for sure I miss nik software (1.6.3)
1/4/2015 11:04:00 AM
5/5 By Leart78
But in difference of some other users here, this app is working perfectly, everything fine like it always did always, just it lacks of new features that's why I miss nik software.
Maybe is because I'm using older ios on older and well tested devices such iPod 4, iPhone 4 ios 6, ipad mini ios 6, iphone 4s ios 7.1.1 in all those devices not even a single glitch, cropping is working perfectly
AND SO FAR THIS IS THE BEST APP EVER FOR APPLYING FILTERS TO THE PHOTOS
Please fix? (1.6.3)

Good tools, intuitive controls, and annoying bugs (1.6.3)

Like others here, I'm annoyed by the bugs introduced by the latest update. Cropping tool is a basic function, but is currently unusable. When the app works, however, it's an excellent entry-level photo editing tool.
Did you even try your update? (1.6.3)
1/2/2015 5:09:00 PM
2/5 By Casey Justus
My only issue with snapseed at this point is selecting different styles wishing certain filters. There is no rhyme or reason to the new set up and makes it increasingly difficult to use any other filter other than neutral, red, or orange for black and whites. Come on Google, you're better than this.
Decreased options equals decresed used (1.6.3)
1/2/2015 3:27:00 PM
3/5 By Michael Williams
This is the first app that I have ever had that the updates significantly decreases the options available. I assumed that Snapseed was going to have a paid app that would include the deleted options, which I would be willing to get since I use this app all the time, but no such luck. So over the passed few weeks I hardly used Snapseed and found other apps to replace it. What a shame. Considering all the wonderful things that Google does this is a big disappointment.
What happened? (1.6.3)

Used to be my favorite photo app. Since the latest update, I've lost tons of options. It's no longer the great app that it used to be. Disappointing.
