11/12/2015 | Version : 2.9 | Size : 77.8 MB
Hello all. This update introduces the new logo and some major performance improvements for Snapheal.
The software now uses a new erasing algorithm and works faster. Plus it supports more RAW formats and works better with larger files.
So we have updated the icon as well to show that Snapheal has grown up.
Thank you for using Snapheal.

3/16/2015 | Version : 2.7 | Size : 29.4 MB
What's New in version 2.7
This update brings a number of bug fixes, reported by users.
This includes a critical bug fix where some users could not load the image properly.
Thanks for helping us in making Snapheal even better.

What's New in version 2.6
Speed and performance improvements.
We have dramatically enhanced the erasing powers of the app. All erasing modes now support smart pixel recognition algorithm, that is not available in other software. We've also improved the image processing speed, so Snapheal is the fastest image healing app, available on Mac OS today.

The new App Centre.
We heard you and made it easy to transfer images from Snapheal to other photo editors by Macphun. Now you can remove the objects in Snapheal, click the red M in the top left corner and turn the App Centre on. Then pick the Macphun app you have and instantly move your image to it without any quality loss.

Mac OS compatibility updates and improvements.
This includes minor bug fixes with the latest OS X, support for the notification center, improved social sharing, Retina UI fixes, fixes issues with external displays, improved performance of localized versions and other improvements.

Thanks for using Snapheal. You inspire us.

Not so useful (3.1)
12/23/2016 3:36:00 AM 2/5 By Dallas iPhone
The app is limited in scope, and not very effective in any kind of photo with varying background. If you want to remove an object “floating” in a very consistent background, it works OK. BUT, if you want to remove a battery resting on the edge of the arm of the couch, with a bit of wall in the background, forget it! The app has no concent of boundaries, and trying to remove an object that sits in front of two different surfaces, or sits on a crack or a seam, is impossible. Even on a consistent background, it requires some clean up after removing an object. What the app seems to do is cut out whatever you paint, and then try to clone in surrounding pixels. It does an OK job of reproducing texture, but only if the entire surrounding background is similar. Lastly, MacPhun puts every photo editing feature in a separate app. If you want all the features, you will end up paying more than buying a full-featured product. Or, you could just use GIMP.

Spooky Good (3.1)

I have been challenging snapheal and it has won every time to the point of being spooky how good it is…….

Doesn’t work properly with OS X El Capitan (2.9)
7/30/2016 11:24:00 PM 3/5 By blueinca
I had this app before I updated to OS X El Capitan. It worked great. Then once the operating system was updated, this app no longer worked properly. The clone feature does not work at all. Have contacted MacPhun several times and they say they are fixing it. That has been over 3 months ago and still no fix. I use this feature all the time, so if you want to use this feature and have El Capitan operating system don’t buy it.

Be wary of spam advertising from Macphun (2.9)

If you buy this app, the author will spam you with notifications to buy their other products. For instance, I just received a notification promoting their Aurora HDR Pro software, allegedly "for free," but when you actually give them your email address and try to download it, it's just a demo version and priced nearly twice what the same apps sells for here in the App Store. I'm unintalling all of these Macphun apps, and I regret ever giving them my email address.

It’s not terrible (2.9)

Bought it & didn’t use. I think it might be good for something on a very regular background. With non-regular, not that great. Lots of blur. Already had Pixelmator & Photoshop. Was hoping it would be really good at this one thing. It wasn’t for me. Ended up using a combo of the other options.

Pests (2.9)

Works prettty well. However, I’m uninstalling it and won’t buy any more of their products because they pester you non-stop to BUY BUY BUY. I spent money on this app thinking the money I spent would keep them from pestering me all the time. Having them pop up on my private computer all the time is a personal violation. It’s like someone broke into my house and used my computer without my permission.

Something’s wrong with version 2.9 & OS X 10.11.4 (2.9)
4/24/2016 7:21:00 PM 1/5 By Uncle Mac Podcast
On my first launch of this app it wanted me to upgrade to “Snapheal CK” for $14.99 but I only needed to use it for a quick edit. There were artifacts and errors in a simple Erase a few things from one of my photos so I assumed it was a corrupted download which often happens so I deleted and reinstalled it. Then I thought on the fresh install I was mistaken and chose the wrong “Erase Mode” but again the image artifacts appeard on all settings. I’m assuming it just needs an update for 10.11.4 Until Snapheal is updated I used my stand by quick photo editor Livequartz the full version and for $6.99 it’ll do Snapheals job and many other photoshop type tasks. The developer updates it very often with bug fixes and new features, I highly recommend that everyone should consider giving Livequartz a try.

This is not the current version of this product (2.9)

MacPhun sells the current version of Snapheal for $50. That version comes with plug-in support for and, apparently, Aperture as well. What’s sold here is an older and more limited version of the app. It’s considerably less expensive, so I wouldn’t mind except that MacPhun doesn’t make this clear in their product description. That’s why it loses two stars.

Ok, not great. (2.9)
1/2/2016 5:55:00 AM 2/5 By Ed Simon
It would be great if this worked miracles. However, it doesn’t really work much better than using Photo’s retouching brush. It works well in a very simple background situation.

Just missing one thing (2.9)

I have been using this app for a long time, and for what it is supposed to do, it does it well. Quick and easy. But, I wish it worked as a plug in for Photos in 10.11. I use Noiseless as a plug in and LOVE it. So easy to use. With Snapheal, I have to save the photo to the desktop, open it, do the work, save it back to Photos, and get rid of the original.
