In the tradition of the highly acclaimed Star Wars: Jedi Knight series, Star Wars®: Jedi Knight® II: Jedi Outcast™ features rebel agent Kyle Katarn in exhilarating first-person action. Several years have passed since Kyle avenged his father's death and saved the Valley of the Jedi from Jerec and his band of Dark Jedi. Allowing his Force powers to languish for fear of falling to the dark side, Kyle entrusted his lightsaber to Luke Skywalker, vowing never to use it again. But when a new and menacing threat to the galaxy emerges, Kyle knows he must reclaim his past in order to save his future.

Explore breathtaking Star Wars locales such as Cloud City, the Jedi Academy on Yavin 4, and Nar Shaddaa, the smugglers' moon. Multiplayer options include deathmatch, saber-only deathmatch, and team capture the flag.

* Expanded and enhanced use of the lightsaber features a slew of attack and defense moves
* Tap into the powers of the Force including Jump, Push, Jedi Mind Tricks and more
* Employ combat or stealth, depending on the situation.
* Choose wisely from an arsenal of 13 weapons including disruptor rifle, thermal detonators, trip mines and Wookiee bowcaster.
* Play on-line with 2-32 players or against a variety of AI Bots - and gain an additional 7 Force powers.

Comments and Ratings for Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast

A great game ruined by lack of controller support (1.5)
12/27/2016 10:57:00 AM 2/5 By Punish Jigsaw
After loving this game when it was on the original X-Box, I decided to download it for the action, the force battles, and multiplayer when it was on sale for half price. Unfotunately the features I enjoyed don’t translate well to a mouse and a keyboard. A note to ASPYR: Please make ALL of your games support controllers. This game just isn’t the same on a mouse and keyboard. Plus, the app is buggy.

Launches but won’t start new game (1.5)
11/26/2016 3:23:00 PM 1/5 By abbagabbablooey
Just downloaded to my 1 year old iMac running 10.11.6 and the game launches but when it comes time to start a new game nothing happens when I click on the level of game I’d like to start at. Maybe it’s the big weird lightsaber cursor that’s messing it up. But no luck with Apple or Aspyer tech support, and I see little chance of getting a refund on downloaded software from the Apple Store. It’s like they are saying, "come buy this great software, and if it doesn’t work though you meet the system requirements, then f-you.” How can we trust this store?

Makes You Feel Like a Jedi (1.5)
10/21/2016 9:14:00 PM 4/5 By Lord of Review
This game is extremely satisfying, yet extremely hard. The game is almost impossible to beat without using the many cheat codes for it, but is still fun none the less. It successfully makes you feel like a Jedi Knight through the use of your lightsaber and the Force powers the game grants you access to. It can also be played in first or third person while either wielding your lightsaber or one of the many blaster rifles. However, the story is a bit lacking, and the main villain is a little lame, but it makes up for this with the gameplay. Jedi Outcast is primarily a shooter game, but does include some puzzles for players to figure out. Overall the game is appropriately priced, has excellent controls, but the story is rather simple and bland.

Fun game (1.5)

So I got this game mainly to mod and do the multiplayer, the reason is because when I saw the multiplayer on some of the reviews I was like wow this is the most accurate star wars game that I have ever seen before. Then I started to go into the story mode, I was actually very good. FYI this story mode isnt considered canon anymore and we all know why that is. Anyway to the best part mods, I understand many people get confused about this one becuase it is not the easiest thing to figure out. Library-ApplicationSupport-Base. Alot of people are going to say gamedata, that is basically the folder before Base. I am saying this because I was confused when I was reading online everyone said base folder. I thought that you had to leave it in the base folder but it turns out that you have to leave it next to the base folder. Hopefully this can help people. I have no software problems with this game.

Perfect-Thank you (1.5)

no problems so far. love this game so much. Worth every penny and more. Mechanics are perfect. but if you are looking for a game like battlefront you are looking in the wrong spot. This game is more of a single player campaign with a little bit of mulitiplayer added in. Thank you so much Aspyr

Buggy (1.5)

Controller integration mediocre; no split screen (1.5)
12/14/2015 4:07:00 AM 2/5 By mjacob415
The game’s storyline and multiplayer modes are execeptionally good… However, after playing the game via Dolphin I was looking to consolidate the steps needed to play. I tried downloading a number of Xbox 360 controller patches… As I was about to give up, I found one that worked, but the dissapointingly, the game didn’t integrate with the controller’s control setup well, and synching the controls was a nightmare. I loved this game as a kid, but the game’s fun is wattered down when not being able to use a console controller. Also, not being able to play splitscreen was dissapointing too. Asking for a refund for my 10 bucks because my experience with the game was lackluster.

Damaged (1.5)

Everytime i try to download this game, it says that it is damaged and that i have to redownload it. I have tried this multiple times and same results. I just wasted $10 on something I cannot even play. Thanks….and i was looking forward to this childhood memory too.

11/12/2015 12:48:00 AM 1/5 By ohwhydidntthishappen
I could play the game for a while. but Today when I go to play there is this Error Message telling me the App is damaged. I just played it yesterday... so wth? I payed for this? I deleted it and re downloaded it and installed it 3 times now and I get the same message. I’m getting so frustrated that I actually wrote a review.
