Constant Live Stream Disabled Notifications (4.3.2)
5/22/2017 7:17:45 AM 1/5 By arCyn1c
Not only does the app have an apparently very low limit on number of concurrent live stream enabled clients, but the popup by which it informs you of the fact is definitely broken and often just infinitely returns until you kill the application entirely. Even choosing not to ‘Reconnect’ will still yeild additional popups most of the time. Extremely annoying. And it’s not as though the rest of the app is magnificent in the first place...

Too Funny (4.3.2)
5/18/2017 9:09:08 AM 1/5 By Helpmedecide
Invalid or Expired Token This app is useless.

Probably the worst app I’ve ever downloaded (4.3.2)
5/12/2017 10:14:16 AM 1/5 By Elio Enidias
Absolute garbage. Steam doesn’t update, likes don’t register. Limited usability.

Average (4.3.2)
5/11/2017 2:11:19 AM 3/5 By iCaliT
Twitter’s Twitter app is nothing special. It has the basics and works fine. But it’s not very impressive compared to Twitterific which I started using on devices. Wish they had an OS X app. One of the features I like best about Twitterific is that I can tweet and/or reply from one account another. I can adjust the font, text spacing, etc. That’s why I had big expectations for Twitter's app. But I find it boring.

So many bugs (4.3.2)
5/8/2017 8:48:50 AM 2/5 By jdot104
Twitter still refuses to listen to its users on usability, so the terrible new replying format must be here to stay. But this app has so many bugs with attaching gifs and images to replies. It will delete the user I’m replying to about 70% of the time if I attach an image, so it looks as if I’m just posting them for myself. Who knew a single app could be so frustrating to use.

update broke most important feature (4.3.2)
5/4/2017 1:18:45 PM 1/5 By Feanor55
Can I go back to previous version? This one broke lighting up the blue twitter bird in the menubar when you get a new tweet. How did someone not catch that? I always consider when I update what is the worst thing that can happen. Well now I know and will definitely consider carefully when updating twitter.

Terrible Memory Management (4.3.2)
5/3/2017 2:19:07 PM 2/5 By Evan McMiller
Have been using Twitter for a very long time in OS X…since the middle of 2012. Used it on mobile for a few years before that. As far as I can tell, since the beginning of time, they’ve failed to fix how poorly this application manages memory on every platform. The OS X version is especially terrible that way. It regulary becomes unusable after being open for more than 12 hours…it gets to the pont where nothing will load, notifications don’t show up, and eventually it crashes. Seems to be overflowing and then locking up. This is unacceptable for such a popular app in 2017. My system is a 12 core Mac Pro with 128 gb of RAM and an SSD boot drive…I promise you it’s not my system causing the problem. I have to close and re-open sometimes two or three times a day just to keep it functioning at any level. If I don’t, it will essentially do this for itself, as I will get the OS X system applicaiton crash window asking to re-open. Performance seems to scale very poorly as well. It seems to run as slowly as it did on my 2012 MacBook Pro with a quad core i7 and 4gb (later 16gb) of RAM…desktop machine is many times as powerful now and yet performance has not increased at all. Makes terrible use of system resources. Overall, even when it’s working “well” - it’s still very slow, and new notifications often take minutes to come through. The little dot next to the notifications tab will appear, but nothing will load for anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. Even on my old BlackBerry Storm, never had such a problem getting notifications to come through. The x86 client simply seems to get the short end of the stick…constatnly buggy, constantly lagging far behind in new features. As far as I know it’s no better in Windows. I realize desktop PC usage probaly isn’t their top priority…but those of us that are heavily active on Twitter certainly use it quite a bit. Please dedicate some resources and time to improving the desktop client. Would make our lives far easier and our experience with your product far better.

Works well, but (4.3.2)
5/1/2017 1:27:08 PM 3/5 By Db0820
I’ve used this app for almost a year now on my macOS machine and it’s been okay. A few things to mention: 1: The DM performance hasn’t been great. I had a DM conversation that’s pretty long and sometimes the app takes a while to load it up. 2: I’m running into a bug right now where sometimes when I click reply on a tweet and actually respond it doesn’t apply to the conversation and just tweets it normally so it isn’t a reply. Usually I’m sending a gif when this happens, but I’m not sure if that pertains to the actual issue. Otherwise its pretty okay. I don’t have that many issues with it besides the ones listed above.

Too many problems!!! (4.3.2)
4/18/2017 7:13:42 PM 1/5 By مُهند
I face too many problems in this version!!!! The tweets are upside down because I have the atabic language. I hope you guys fix these issues ASAP.

Live Stream Off… all the time (4.3.2)
4/13/2017 4:27:50 PM 2/5 By Campah
I wanted to like the official app, but after fighting with constant “Live stream off” notifications, I ended up going back to a third party client.

Update: I hate this app. (was This version is annoying) (4.3.2)
4/13/2017 11:48:59 AM 3/5 By elsw48
Update: I’m ready to throw my computer across the room. It’s time to fine a twitter app that doesn’t jump. Previous: When scrolling down my feed using the touch pad the feed suddenly pops back toward the top (I assume it’s updating) and I lose my place. In older versions this happened occasionally but it happens at least once a minute now. Very annoying.

Notification behavior has changed (4.3.2)
4/10/2017 9:14:58 AM 4/5 By cdwainwright9
I used to get a notification as soon as a new tweet came into my live stream. While the live stream is still updating in real time, the notifications don’t come through for a couple minutes, and all of them from the last 5 minutes or so flash by at once, too fast for me to read any of them.

50/50 (4.3.2)
4/6/2017 5:00:34 PM 3/5 By daraeman
DM performance seems to be better now, although I admittedly don't use this app as much because Twitter has done such a terrible job in the past at fixing all the problems they've introduced to it. The main problems with this version are: A. The menu bar icon no longer highlights at all, even though its enabled in the settings. B. All mentioned usernames are no longer displayed in the tweets in the Timeline, nor when replying. Instead they are relegated to "@someone and x others", making it a hassle and waste of time having to click through a reply chain just to find out who all the people in the message are.

Significant regression in scrolling/marking tweets as read (4.3.2)
4/4/2017 10:15:18 AM 1/5 By JKWUC89
In my opinion, the inability to mark all tweets as read by scrolling to the top is a significant regression for this release. The updated behavior in version 4.3.2 simply does not work. Consequently, I stopped using this app and have gone to using a tab in Safari. Please bring back the old scrolling behavior that (1) marked all tweets as read and (2) cleared the highlighted icons that indicated unread tweets.

Notification circle next to Home icon doesn’t go away (4.3.2)
4/4/2017 7:21:16 AM 2/5 By JYD773
When you reach the top of your feed the circle that serves as a notification of new tweets will not go away, unless you click on the Home icon. This is extremely annoying and pointless.

Horrible UI/UX (4.3.2)
3/29/2017 12:15:48 PM 1/5 By nerdthomas
It was already pretty bad, but the latest update uses a blue color for names/links that’s too close to the regular text color. The biggest issue is you have to carefully study each tweet to see if it’s a reply or not. Just some really, really bad UI/UX decisions that makes me wonder if twitter is laying off designers. Regardless, I’ll be finding a new twitter app as this one is unusable now.

Great app…please bring back old notification features! (4.3.2)
3/28/2017 9:41:40 PM 4/5 By Festival21
I love this app, but for some reason the latest update removed one of the best features…when the little menu bar Twitter bird logo lights up when I get a notificaiton, it no longer tells me when I click it what the notification is for. It used to highlight whether it was a mention or DM, and from which account. It’s a bummer that this is missing. Doesn’t feel right without it. Please bring back and you’ll get that 5 star rating. Thanks!

Doesn’t work (4.3.2)
3/28/2017 4:45:32 PM 1/5 By Puppy mom
Unable to use this app. Will not appow me to login and cannot use it at all. Have uninstalled and reinstalled it with no change. Needs work!!!!

Version 4.3 is not a good update... (4.3.2)
3/28/2017 8:19:16 AM 2/5 By amfonte
This latest version has a lot of regressions from the previous version. First of all, you can no longer refresh your feed (it’s grayed out in the file menu). You can no longer access the link to a tweet with keyboard commands unless you’re IN the tweet. No one uses their mouse with this app, keyboard commands are a must! Moving up and down in your feed is very disconnected, when you go down, it’s a smooth scroll, but going up in your feed has no scrolling at all, it just jumps you to the next tweet. This again, doesn’t make sense, why a regression from the previous version? Lastly, the notification on the dock doesn’t go away when you reach the top of your feed. Utterly mind boggling how something that simple got missed. Please release an update to this version! The previous one worked just fine.

Issues with Keyboard Shortcuts and VoiceOver (4.3.2)
3/26/2017 6:59:47 AM 1/5 By Michael3129
Some keyboard shortcuts do not work, with Retweet and View Tweet Details being the ones that impact me the most. I use VoiceOver—Apple’s built-in screen reader for blind users—but it appears as though these shortcuts do not work even with VoiceOver turned off.

Memory usage bug is still not fixed (4.3.2)
3/25/2017 11:21:38 PM 3/5 By ZoraLink
(nor is the bug I reported 4 years ago, the bug is in iOS app too, with the timeline not letting me start off from where I left off (it did do that before Twitter bought the company that did the app)) The app easy hit over 1GB of RAM usage after just a while of use, other than that it is a good app. New bug occored recently where if you view your DMs Twitter will CPU spike to 15% CPU and cause the Mac’s fans to go full speed, this is in the last 3 versions Why are there no relase notes that have info about what was fixed in the last 2 or more updates? Edit 3/25/17 Timeline is working better, tho there is a few crashing bugs with notifications, creating tweets and scrolling the timeline

New tweet notification does not go away (4.3.2)
3/23/2017 3:05:24 PM 3/5 By j8m4p
Since the latest update the notification circle next to the home icon does not go away when you reach the top of your feed, rendering it pretty useless. Also the ability to swipe a photo or video window closed is no longer here.

Visually fantastic, catastrophically buggy (4.3.2)
3/23/2017 1:18:41 PM 1/5 By Spudvision
Twitter really deserves a lot of praise for finding new ways to make their app crash with every additional update. Each new bug is a tiny little surprise in my day! Never change!

Version 4.3.2 Update (4.3.2)
3/22/2017 11:52:41 PM 2/5 By chineena
Lost the ability to swipe a window closed. Bring that back please. Still unable to click on a pic and resize the window/zoom in - dumb, dumb, dumb.

Nice update, still needs a few fixes. (4.3.2)
3/22/2017 12:11:16 PM 3/5 By LeonBlade
This app has slowly become beter and better since the relaunch. Someone commented about hiding the @ replies, but this is actually implemented on the Web. I'm not sure why they said this is only introduced here, it is on the web... go ahead and look for yourself. It actaully helps keep your character count down, because it doesn't include the @username in your Tweet contents. There are some great changes with the font/size on certain panels in this latest update. I haven't noticed the issue with likes and RTs like I have been, but it will take some time to say if it's gone for good. The biggest two problems in this update have to be with the "updated" night (dark) theme as well as a bug with how tall the Tweets are in the timeline. The Dark theme is okay, but the color scheme is now inconsistent. The sidebar color went from a more saturated blue to a lighter blue which is okay I guess, but I preferred the original blue. However, the problem comes in when you get a reply from someone. The background color is this weird pale blue color that clashes with the reply itself. Seriously, it's horrible... did no one bother to look at this when it was shipped or what? The other problem like I mentioned was the Tweet height. Sometimes Tweets that contain NO media will be expanded in height to contain media despite none being there. This bug is really annoying and hopefully can be fixed soon and not half a year from now like these updates tend to be pushed out. I wouldn't be surprised if only one person is working on this in their spare time given how little love this application is given. Just hire me, I'll work on this application (not a joke). All in all, the app has made a lot of improvements, right now these few problems really set it back from me giving it a better score. Also, it would be nice to get the Translate feature for Tweets as well. Once these things are implemented, it will be worthy of a 5/5 potentially.

Shows Timeline Updates Every Couple Minutes (4.3.2)
3/21/2017 6:09:15 PM 3/5 By Bobby T.
Since the most recent update the menu bar icon is turning blue every couple minutes regardless as to wether or not there is a new post on my timeline (before it only did so if a new post showed up under one of the various tabs). It’s doing so consistently, and was not doing this prior to this update.

Cool... (4.3.2)
3/21/2017 2:25:50 PM 4/5 By Jadass95
But like where is full screen and split screen support? I would really like that.

President Trumps Profile Pic (4.2.4)
3/2/2017 7:57:22 PM 1/5 By Hairsarnold
To the owner of this app your a wortless liberal who obivously hates President Trump. Why are you sabotaging his Twitter account by removing his Profile Picture?

Has some bugs (4.2.4)
3/2/2017 8:25:36 AM 4/5 By Mark_a_n
I like the minimalism design, however, the app crashes quite often. Sometimes the videos don’t have a voice or I don’t see new notifications or messages. Please, fix the bugs.

Direct Mail absolutely useless v4.2.4 (4.2.4)
3/1/2017 3:54:07 PM 1/5 By steamboat911
This use to be a decent app. Now? NOW the DM feature crashes the app. Everytime. With DM being useless the app is useless.
